How Chickens Are Judged

Sunday, January 21 meeting

Erik Nelson will discuss the Standards for large fowl and bantam

chickens.  Attendees are welcome to bring chickens for him to

use for examples.  

 

How Pigeons Are Judged

Sunday, February 18 meeting 

Persons interested in pigeons are welcome to attend.

Scott Landry, Brian Read and Bob Ames will discuss Pigeon Standards.   Attendees are welcome to bring pigeons to use for examples.

Serama Table Top Judging

Sunday, April 15 meeting

Krissy McLaughlin, Secretary of the SCNA club, will give a talk and demonstration about how Serama chickens are table top judged. This is an interesting way to present these proud, little birds. Krissy will be providing seriously interested youngsters with free pairs of Seramas to start working with. If interested, contact her at wither98@yahoo.com or (207) 320-2072.

Regular Monthly Meetings

Meetings are Held at the Evening Star Grange Hall in Washington Maine. Which is located on the South side of the Old Union road at the intersection of Bill Luce Road and Old Union Road in Washington off of RT 220. The building opens at 11:00am for Coffee and Conversation. Pot Luck Lunch at 12:00pm followed by meeting and auction at 1:00pm

Directions to Windsor Fair Grounds:

From Augusta:

Rt 17 east for about 12 miles to 32N. Turn left onto 32N Windsor fairgrounds are on the left about 1/2mile. Poultry Building is located by the North Gate of the Fair Grounds next to the museum barn and garden.

From the Coast:

RT 17 W Augusta (est. 40+ or – miles from Rockland) Right on to 32 N Fairground directions same as above.
